Perfect Fit Side and Roof System for UPVC Windows

Colorway are pleased to announce the launch of the Perfect Fit system for side windows and roof windows. This unique system allows a variety of products to be fitted to a UPVC window without drilling in to the frame.

The side window system is suitable for the new 20mm pleated system, 25mm venetians and now the roller system. This product is vailable in White, Brown and Silver. The Silver colour choice is aimed at the Velux market.

The roof system (Perfect Fit International) is available in White and Brown and has been extensively developed to overcome many of the niggles associated with conventional roof blind installations. Customer satisfaction is much higher than with conventional roof fitted pleated blinds, principly due to the much neater finish. Those customers who are worried about their UPVC warranties will be comforted by the lack of drilling into the frame to install these products.

Whilst the side window product is straight forward to measure and fit with the simplest of instructions, the roof systems do require some training for the measuring and fitting process. This will be available to Colorway Retailers and will be done in partnership with our supplier at their head office.

Electric Roller Blinds and Glydea Curtain Track

Over the last 18 months we have seen demand strengthen for all types of electronic blind products. Whilst we feel the market is strongest with roller blind related products, just about any type of window blind can now be motorised as well as the new Glydea curtain track. We are pleased to be launching our own retailer program to help stimulate demand for this type of product in association with the worlds leading electronic blind component manufacturer Somfy.

Our program, which currently includes wired mains and low voltage systems, will kick off with the introduction of a battery powered/wireless control electronic roller blind and mains powered/wireless control curtain track. The lithium battery on the roller blind, under normal use and based upon an average domestic window, will last approx 1 year under normal use. The benefits are enormous for this product, with no retro fit damage to decorations and not an electrician in sight.

The Somfy patented RTS wireless (not infrared) system will allow multiple blinds to be controlled from a central location, even through concrete walls. With the further addition of a wireless timer and light sensor, an entire home can be controlled, giving an important extra level of security.

The Romans are coming!! Well actually they are already here. Exactly how many roman blinds are made in the UK we do not know. We do know it is a lot. The biggest complaint about romans is the cording and the 'don't touch the blinds I've just got them right'

Further Investment at Colorway

Colorway has just completed a £50,000 installation of roller blind production machinery. This now makes our factory one of the most advanced roller production facilities in the UK. The equipment, a £20,000 sewing unit, covers the semi-automatic sewing of roller blinds, the £30,000 table offers large size semi-automatic cutting and squaring of fabric. What this means to our customers is a consistently high quality product, improved handling of problem fabrics and large blinds, and a greater ability to rapidly respond to last minute and large orders. After some considerable time taken selecting the best from the Colorway Range of products, we are pleased to announce that the Colorway Showroom is open for business.

Design Interiors
We have just finished supporting our customers at Design Interiors. A dedicated soft furnishing show focussing on the middle to top end of the market place. The emphasis is firmly on things which are different and creating a unique Interior Design feel. Our Woven Wood product (pinoleum) was the highlight of this years' show with customers eager to get their hands on our new Wood Collection book featuring Pinoleum, Real Wood and our Traditional Stained Wood product. The launch of our new Roller and Vertical range was enhanced by the exciting point of sale presenter in the form of an easy to carry case containing both Roller, Vertical, some Pleated and all of the Contract book.

We have moved!
We are pleased to announce that Colorway has moved to a purpose built factory close to our existing location. With the growth we have experienced over the last few years, thanks to our loyal customers, we needed space to stay efficient and help us focus on our goals. Investing for the Future

There have been some major changes at Colorway as we completed the final stages of a £40,000 investment program for Vertical Blind production.

Customers who have dealt with us for some time will know that we put quality of product and service first. The last few years have seen superb increases in our business, and in order to maintain and improve quality and service inward investment was required.

The main changes are the introduction of automatic Louvre cutting machinery and computerised sewing machines which will significantly improve the accuracy and speed with which Vertical Blinds can be produced.
